Article covering the Q&A with Gilliam about TMWKDQ at LA's Landmark theater on Thursday, Dec. 12th (the title, "Terry Gilliam Tilts At Oscar’s Windmill," is misleading): https://deadline.com/2019/12/jennifer-lo...202809124/

Hi
Thanks!

The more I think about and learn about the production of the film the more I appreciate the truly magical and essential focus Driver brings to this very mysterious production.

Maybe it’s down to the scattershot distribution and lack of wide mainstream media exposure but it still seems to exist in some strange Intangible, mythical realm at times.

There’s sad aspects to that idea but it’s somehow appropriate to he weird history of the whole enterprise.

Nice to see some love for Gilliam by the US critics (though it comes a bit too late Big Grin at least he's not the pariah he was a few months ago when his post-metoo comments were blown up out of proportion). Apparently the hollywood reporter will publish an interview with him in the next days, too. Maybe it will help for any new project he might have to see that he can still attract press and audience...

P.S : "Perhaps if Quixote were with Netflix, more people would have seen it by now. " It's the key sentence, and if he would have the right deal, he still might be able to show his film on a few screen (like Noah Baumbach or Scorsese, whose films got more screens that The man who killed Don Quixote, even though they are Netflix films)

Someone filmed (with bad sound) the Q&A with Gilliam at the American Cinematheque on Friday... Not much new info but a Terry Gilliam in jolly good mood : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rQ5ysGH4Xek
