Whatever the situation is, you have to remember that when a film is rejected, the selection committee gives a solid no, so at least we know the commitee is not against having the film...

Both this date and Gilliam's "Venice is a very beautiful city, isn't it?" comment suggest they're aiming for a premier at the Venice Film Festival later this summer.
