RE: The Making of Quixote - cclark - 08-27-2021 The Man Who Killed Don Quixote is one of Adam Driver’s 10 best film performances, according to The Guardian's Peter Bradshaw: https://www.theguardian.com/film/2021/aug/26/adam-drivers-10-best-film-performances-ranked RE: The Making of Quixote - MercuryZap - 09-01-2021 As the focus that holds the whole enterpise together to a certain extent he infuses the film with a unique and winning energy. I still can’t really believe this film exists! Cheers! RE: The Making of Quixote - bruttenholm - 09-01-2021 Driver and Pryce are a fabulous double act. I think the film would have gain to be more focused on their couple. RE: The Making of Quixote - cclark - 11-21-2021 From He Dreams of Giants Facebook page (on October 2nd): "Delighted to report we are in the process of finalising a deal for North American distribution. More news in the coming weeks…stay tuned!" My guess is that it'll finally hit US theaters by Spring 2022. I'm hoping for a Criterion release with both MWKDQ and this doc. RE: The Making of Quixote - bruttenholm - 01-16-2022 Start of a 3 parts video examination of Gilliam's latest film by the youtube channel DisRegarding Henry : RE: The Making of Quixote - bruttenholm - 02-08-2022 Gilliam is now in Portugal to promote the film, which will finally be released there next week (incidently meaning that Paulo Branco's bullshit is probably over, too) : https://www.instagram.com/p/CZsbY_8MABm/ RE: The Making of Quixote - cclark - 02-13-2022 Maybe with Paulo Branco's legal nonsense finally over we can see a proper blu-ray release of The Man Who Killed Don Quixote paired with He Dreams of Giants as well as extras and director's commentary (and even the doc Lost in LaMancha) on Criterion. Here's a short video of Gilliam in Portugal for the premier: https://twitter.com/ukinportugal/status/1491835935599865862 RE: The Making of Quixote - bruttenholm - 02-13-2022 Crossing fingers. There still isn't any french bluray of the film (although it's a french co-production !). The only thing we french speaking people have is a french belgian release, with no extras whatsoever. RE: The Making of Quixote - cclark - 03-07-2022 Terry Gilliam's The Man Who Killed Don Quixote (Part 2 of 3) - Unmade Masterpieces RE: The Making of Quixote - bruttenholm - 03-24-2022 "Lost in La Mancha" will be re-released in theatres and on digital next month in UK and Ireland, for the 20th anniversary of the film : https://thepeoplesmovies.com/2022/03/terry-gilliams-lost-in-la-mancha-getting-20th-anniversary-release I don't know if this means anything for a new blu-ray release or something like that (maybe a package with "He dreams of Giants" ?). |
