Thanks for the video, Cclark, but the sound is such that it'd be great if somebody could add subtitles.

In the age of twitter, Gilliam is slowly becoming a PR nightmare, which won't help in any way his films getting financed : https://www.theguardian.com/film/2018/jul/04/terry-gilliam-on-diversity-bbc-monty-python-black-lesbian

He was just joking, and it wasn't as tactless as his #MeToo comments. But at the same time, he was making a serious point about the current mentality at the BBC. The recent comments by Shane Allen, the BBC's Controller of Comedy, seemed to be aimed directly at Python. But, Terry was poking fun at that mentality at the BBC.

Meanwhile, Terry clarifies that people will still see Quixote despite the recent court case: https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/terry-gilliam-says-legal-battle-man-who-killed-don-quixote-wont-stop-films-release-1124998

RE: The Making of Quixote - bruttenholm - 07-05-2018

I understand he was aiming at the BBC but as the Guardian headline doesn't mention it, it sounds like he's making a point about diversity and inclusion in itself... Also what's the point of talking about a BBC comment in a Czech festival where the majority of the journalists won't know what he's talking about ??

RE: The Making of Quixote - cclark - 07-05-2018

Shane Allen and the BBC are a little behind in the diversity department: https://www.vanityfair.com/hollywood/2016/01/snl-diversity-oscars-so-white-parody-bachelor
