My own humble contribution to the #FilmsMadeofBread hashtag that was trending on Twitter yesterday:

It received a very appropriate response from the @quixotemovie account.

Big Grin

I thought it was a little harsh.

Whatever the situation is, you have to remember that when a film is rejected, the selection committee gives a solid no, so at least we know the commitee is not against having the film...

That could explain why the news surrounding the decision is so conflicting.

So apparently the production lost in appeal against Branco in London : https://www.blackstonechambers.com/news/recorded-picture-company-limited-v-1-alfama-films-production-2-paulo-branco/
I don't know what it means for the film, to be honest...

RE: The Making of Quixote - cclark - 04-17-2018

This site has a possible release date in Germany for 6/09/2018: http://cineuropa.org/f.aspx?t=film&l=en&did=351223

The IMDb confirms it for September 6th 2018: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt1318517/releaseinfo?ref_=ttrel_ql_2

Both this date and Gilliam's "Venice is a very beautiful city, isn't it?" comment suggest they're aiming for a premier at the Venice Film Festival later this summer.
