RE: The Making of Quixote - bruttenholm - 09-21-2016 More than the beard, what i find strange is that 2 weeks before shooting he's still in London and not in Spain... But maybe it was a little pause before going back to it... RE: The Making of Quixote - Donald McKinney - 09-23-2016 It's due to start of October 4th, but it could have been a little pause. As for lack of beard, maybe it'll be fake. But, even more worrying, producer Paolo Branco isn't listed on Imdb. Hopefully Phil can shed some light on the matter. RE: The Making of Quixote - bruttenholm - 09-24-2016 Yeah that's strange, even his companies aren't listed anymore... The website for his french company alfama films still feature the project though : http://www.alfamafilms.com/index.php?rub=productions&idProjet=The-Man-Who-Killed-Don-Quixote EDIT : Yet his portuguese company doesn't feature it anymore : http://www.leopardofilmes.com/filmes_em_producao.php RE: The Making of Quixote - bruttenholm - 09-29-2016 MAYBE another proof of something fishy : in early october, Michael Palin won't be in Spain but doing a public reading in london : http://www.timeout.com/london/blog/just-announced-letters-live-add-more-big-names-to-star-studded-line-up-092916 RE: The Making of Quixote - bruttenholm - 09-30-2016 Some comforting news from belgium : http://www.wallimage.be/newsfile.php?lang=fr&id=790 The Man who killed Don Quixote has been selected to be given belgian financial aid... Actually the shooting seems now planned for a november start and belgian facilities will handle the post-production, and especially the visual effects. YET Gilliam seems less optimist at the 39th minute here : http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b07wmfgw?ns_mchannel=social&ns_campaign=bbc_radio_2&ns_source=twitter&ns_linkname=radio_and_music Don't know what to do with that - Anyway Paulo Branco seems to be out of the project. RE: The Making of Quixote - phildreams - 09-30-2016 Many thanks Bruttenholm, I had not heard about this appearance on Radio 4 - seems to be to promote the paperback version of Gilliamesque. So Branco is now confirmed out of the picture, and it is not fully funded. How can they get lots of cash in just a few weeks? This seems an impossible task. RE: The Making of Quixote - Donald McKinney - 09-30-2016 Unless Gilliam goes cap in hand to Amazon, aren't they supposed to have a hand in it of some sort? RE: The Making of Quixote - bruttenholm - 10-01-2016 Amazon Studios were involved with the version with John Hurt but I don't understand why they aren't here for this one either. RE: The Making of Quixote - Donald McKinney - 10-02-2016 But, Gilliam still has a deal with them? Besides, it's official, it's delayed again. But, Gilliam is optimistic that its temporary. RE: The Making of Quixote - bruttenholm - 10-02-2016 I don't think there's a deal anymore at the moment. |
