RE: The Making of Quixote - cclark - 01-02-2018 Quixote has been chosen as one of the most exciting films of 2018 by big-name directors by The Guardian. Quote:The Man Who Killed Don Quixote RE: The Making of Quixote - bruttenholm - 01-03-2018 I hope we'll have some official images soon (from what I understand, the film should be totally finished in february or something like that). RE: The Making of Quixote - bruttenholm - 01-04-2018 Apparently the sound mix is finished : https://twitter.com/STUDIOLEQUIPE/status/948856881757421569 (which means editing+music is finished) (I guess there must still be some work to do on visual effects and color grading) RE: The Making of Quixote - cclark - 01-09-2018 Canadian News Channel CTV predicts a May release for theaters, but that may just be confused with the Cannes premiere: https://www.ctvnews.ca/entertainment/five-must-see-movies-from-star-directors-1.3748913 On another note, there is an official website (though I feel like that's already been mentioned): http://quixotemovie.com/ RE: The Making of Quixote - cclark - 01-09-2018 The Tornasol Films site linked from the official Quixote site above had this to say about the release: Quote:International sales are managed by Kinology. Amazon Studios has acquired distribution rights for the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom; and Telemunchen for Germany and Austria. http://www.tornasolfilms.com/noticias/rodaje-don-quijote/ There is a synopsis on that page that goes a bit further than previous synopses and comes off as a bit spoilery, which is why I didn't repost it here. RE: The Making of Quixote - petersio - 02-03-2018 It's been a long time since we've heard any news... RE: The Making of Quixote - bruttenholm - 02-04-2018 I have some related news but surely not the kind you're expecting : The (celebrated) special effects supervisor on the film, Reyes Abades, died this week at the age of 68 : https://www.elespanol.com/cultura/cine/20180201/fallece-reyes-abades-referente-efectos-especiales-espanol/281723139_0.html RE: The Making of Quixote - petersio - 02-06-2018 At this point, nothing that happens in relation to a Terry Gilliam film should surprise me. That is sad news. He wasn't very old. Will his passing impact the film? RE: The Making of Quixote - bruttenholm - 02-06-2018 He was in charge of practical effects so his job was probably finished when the actual filming ended, his passing won't impact the film. Sound designer Andre Jacquemin tweeted on 16/01/18 that he had almost finished his work on the film. |
