TV: 'The Tick' & 'What We Do in the Shadows'
Interesting article about a pair of TV shows that might appeal to Terry Gilliam fans.

The Joyful Absurdity of 'The Tick' and 'What We Do in the Shadows'

I haven't seen the FX series What We Do in the Shadows (I don't have cable), but if it is anything like the very funny movie (directed by Taika Waititi, who will be directing the Time Bandits TV pilot for Apple), it'll be a success. Has anyone else caught any of the episodes?

I've seen both seasons of Amazon Prime's The Tick and it has become every bit as silly as the original cartoon (though with a surprising amount of depth), and is better than the short-lived live action version with Patrick Warburton from 2001. Season 1 takes a bit of time to get going, as the show was still trying to find the right tone. Season 2 hits the ground running and doesn't quit. In this age of superhero oversaturation, the show is a welcome, fresh, and funny satire that is highly recommended. Here's hoping they make it to the planned 5 seasons they want.

Since the trailers don't do it justice, here's a funny scene from season 2:

Here's the trailer for What We Do in the Shadows, Season 1:

Looks to be as funny as the movie.
