Dreams: August 1997 News BulletinEdited by Phil StubbsHello again readers... here we are with release six of Dreams... since we're only a short space of time from release five, little new news, I'm afraid. Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas This movie is now shooting with Gilliam at the helm (see previous bulletins above for more info). The Las Vegas Sun has published a site dedicated to the movie with some background and news of the production - Film and Loathing in Las Vegas. I understand Tobey Maguire and Christina Ricci have joined the cast which already includes Johnny Depp, Benicio Del Toro and Gary Busey. Below is a picture of Depp getting to know Hunter S. Thompson, the author of Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas.
![]() The Battle of Brazil to be Reissued!!! Dave Cowen posted some excellent news on the Terry Gilliam newsgroup. Jack Mathews' excellent The Battle of Brazil is apparently to be republished in 1998 by Applause Books with extra information... "additional details from the battleground, updates on the careers of the principals, and much more,", writes Dave. This news will be welcomed by all of you who've asked me how to get hold of a copy. Another New Picture! Here's another new image, included here to fill up this embarrassingly barren page and also because there is nowhere else yet to put it yet. Here is the poster for 1991's London Film Festival, designed by Gilliam...
