The Making of Quixote
#51
Theres a new quote from Adam Driver about the film :
Quote:It doesn’t stop there with Driver already wrapped on Logan Lucky, Steven Soderbergh’s return to directing. He’s also committed to Leos Carax’s tale of a stand-up comedian and his daughter, Annette, and Terry Gilliam’s The Man Who Killed Don Quixote, the long-gestating Cervantes-inspired project that famously collapsed with Johnny Depp in the lead role. “I’m totally on board, whenever we can pull it together – sooner rather than later. I’m optimistic. And so is Terry – surprisingly! He’s very much Don Quixote!”

The filming is confirmed for 2017  in a new article on deadline :

Quote:At the upcoming European Film Market in Berlin, Kinology will deliver its $24.5M high-octane action pic Overdrive, starring Scott Eastwood and Ana de Armas, along with five other new titles. Those include Leos Carax’s Annette and the long-gestating The Man Who Killed Don Quixote from Terry Gilliam and starring Adam Driver. Both shoot this year.

I don't know if it should be trusted but an article from horsepress.es (yes) says that Gilliam has found his new Rocinante :

Apparently the horse and its substitute will be brought in Madrid in the next few days, so I guess filming migh be closer than we think...

Bruttenholm, thanks for all of your hard work in uncovering Quixote news. Leoconsole, you're definitely on to something. I hope we do see Palin with a nice long beard, and maybe even an announcement from Terry.

Edit: maybe not this long, though.

Michael Palin has just blogged that he'll be at The York Festival on 19th March and The Radio Times Festival at the BFI on 7th April. Despite the 06/03/17 date above Palin's post has started me feeling apprehensive again Sad
