Let's all hope George's ghost is watching over them. He did so much for "Life of Brian", "Time Bandits", and I think he even was involved with "Brazil" at some very early stage.

I think Palin is still a good bet for Quixote (knock on wood). His lack of facial hair at the Beatles doc premiere was the first sign that the production was in trouble (as was mentioned earlier in this thread). Adam Driver is the cast pick that's more troubling, as there's less of a chance of him being involved in the film now.

The only positive thing in the delay is that Adam Driver might become a bit more bankable after the awards run of Scorsese's latest but that still doesn't mean he'll be able to squeeze Gilliam's film in his schedule.

At least Adam Driver seems still to be committed to it : http://www.irishnews.com/arts/2016/11/22...se-796631/

In other news, Michael Palin and Terry Gilliam will be reunited on stage for a conversation with Sanjeev Bhaskar on Sunday 5 February 2017 : https://www.comedy.co.uk/live/preview/te...ouse_show/
So if there were still doubt, we can already suppose that The man who killed Don Quixote won't shoot in january or february.

Apparently a sign that things are somehow moving forward : a new line producer and a new first assistant director (both spanish) are now listed on the imdb page :

This interview with Adam Driver (re-re-re)confirms the delay with Quixote, but as the article notes, at least Driver still seems to be attached to the project. The only troubling thing is that he says, "It's delayed again!" Hopefully this is just a reconfirmation of what we already suspected: that Gilliam's "slight delay" will actually mean a mid-2017 shoot.

That's a small mercy, if they are definitely shooting next year, at least they have time to raise the money and makes sure it's locked in place.

If someone knows croatian around here, I'd be interested to have their personal translation of this Tony GRisoni interview : https://www.dnevnik.si/1042757634/kultur...b-scenarij
At the end, he seems to say (from what I understand through google translate) that The man who killed Don Quixote will shoot in the first half of 2017 but I'm not sure.
