I think the general release of the film will be very limited (as usual for a Gilliam film). The "one night only" event line could be justified as they've been advertising bonus content along with the film, which could mean an introduction by Gilliam or a look at the upcoming documentary. If the event screening is a success, maybe it'll open up in more theaters.
