There have been other producers attached, like Adrián Guerra, when he couldn't deliver the goods, he was shown the door, but at least he wasn't as cut up about it as Branco is. It seems like this boils down to two contracts contradicting one another, Gilliam's said one thing, Branco's said another. Surely as the project originated with Gilliam, he should have the upper hand, but as the UK courts have recognised Branco's copyright claim, but not yet in the French courts, will this affect it ever getting released in the UK? I wonder if Amazon and A24 have suddenly got cold feet over the court case?
