Since John Hurt seems to be definitely out of the film's September incarnation, we're now free to speculate who Terry's next gonna cast as the legendary man of La Mancha. On an entirely random note probably of little value to anybody without the slightest interest in the German dubbing industry, I've just now found out that both John Hurt and Jean Rochefort happen to have the same standard German dubbing talent, Jürgen Thormann, which may or may not say anything about what type of actor Terry's gonna cast next in the role (as German dubbing casts are usually made by type, i. e. similar actors or actors with similar voices get the same dubbing actor).
With that entirely random observation that with Rochefort and Hurt, Terry cast actors that in German are type-dubbed by Thormann, we can now speculate along the line of other famous actors usually voiced by Thormann as for Terry's next choice for the role: Sir Michael Caine, Sir Ian McKellen, Max von Sydow, Gene Wilder, Edward Fox, Scott Glenn, Michael Cochrane, Simon Callow, James Fox. Any thoughts on any of those names?
