Thanks so much for the heads up Phil! Already booked it today. I first thought it was only going to be for London and Los Angeles. Should have known New York had to come at some point

You can now catch up the 1 hour Gilliam interview about his career at Southbank centre with this podcast.

Here's a direct link to the mp3 if you want to download it to your computer.
Gilliam was interviewed on Tavis Smiley this week. Here's a clip:
Here's a link to the full program. If you have problems viewing the full program outside the U.S., I've used the Hola browser extension to watch BBC programs.

Gilliam is interviewed on the NPR show On Point. Plus you can read an excerpt from Gilliamesque.

Here's a video of the Southbank interview from October 7th. It seems to be quite a bit longer than the audio version:

Here's another long book promotional talk from Los Angeles: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ix7PE9cUq_Y
And here's a 1-hour radio promotional interview, also with Holly: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q6yw0kQ1gxs
Here's a recent 30-minute radio interview, the video direction looks professional, but they didn't take the studio mic sound, only the poor sound of the camera mic: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zVq1DEyDwVM
Ah, found the original radio recording of the 30-minute interview with better audio (at least for the host): https://itunes.apple.com/us/podcast/bijo...64855?mt=2 Somebody should put that audio to the video in-sync.
EDIT: Okay, I've just tried doing that myself. That student video has a very wonky framerate of 47.95fps. WTF? But it's amazing how well the mp3 keeps in-sync for 30 minutes. |
