This beautiful collection of Terry’s art offers a fascinating and refreshingly silly peak into his creative process from that magical era of pen, paper, scissors & powerful, innocent vision.
I first owned a copy in my mid-teens in the 1980s and it was a genuine, magical revelation that for all it’s laughs connected dots in my tiny mind about the nature of and value of art.
I was especially fascinated by the loose sketchbook spreads.
My original copy was lent to some art student in Belfast who was doing a project on Terry. They must have thought it was good too because they never gave it back.
A copy turned up in a local charity bookshop shop this week and it was great to pick it up.
